Located in Magrè, in Alto Adige in northern Italy, Alois Lageder is a benchmark name in Italian wine, blending tradition, innovation and sustainability. For over 150 years, the Lageder family has pursued a vision centered on purity, Alpine terroir expression and deep respect for nature.
The estate spans about 55 hectares, farmed biodynamically since the 1990s. Vineyards planted on diverse soils and elevations ranging from 200 to over 900 meters benefit from ideal conditions: an Alpine climate with wide diurnal ranges tempered by Mediterranean influence, giving the wines freshness, tension and elegance.
This diversity allows the estate to showcase a broad range of grape varieties: Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc for whites, and Pinot Noir, Lagrein and Merlot for reds. Each wine is crafted with precision and minimal intervention, highlighting purity of fruit and terroir identity.
Alois Lageder wines stand out for their finesse, balance and mineral dimension. They embody a visionary approach where viticultural excellence is inseparable from environmental responsibility.
Internationally acclaimed, Alois Lageder is today recognized as a pioneer of biodynamics and a leading figure in the great wines of Alto Adige.
