Classified as a Second Growth in 1855, Château Léoville Barton is one of the most iconic estates of the Saint-Julien appellation on Bordeaux’s left bank. Owned by the Barton family since 1826, it has remained under their stewardship for nearly two centuries, embodying the timeless elegance of great Bordeaux wines.

The vineyard extends over about 50 hectares, planted on deep gravel soils over a clay-limestone base. This terroir provides ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, the dominant grape, complemented by Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Viticulture follows a sustainable, parcel-based approach, with a focus on soil health and optimal grape ripeness. Manual harvesting and precise vinification allow each parcel’s character to be expressed. Ageing in French oak barrels, carefully balanced, brings subtle harmony between power, freshness and finesse.

Château Léoville Barton wines are admired for their complex bouquet of dark fruits, cedar, tobacco and spice, their refined tannic structure and their remarkable ageing potential. They perfectly showcase the classic and sophisticated style of Saint-Julien, powerful yet harmonious.

A symbol of tradition and consistency, Château Léoville Barton stands as a benchmark among Médoc grands crus and remains a must for connoisseurs worldwide.
