Founded in the 9th century by the monks of Cluny Abbey, Clos du Moulin aux Moines is one of the historic vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. Located in Auxey-Duresses, it stands as a unique estate with a thousand-year-old heritage and an exceptional terroir.

The vineyard covers about 15 hectares across Auxey-Duresses, Pommard, Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses. Its clay-limestone soils and varied exposures provide an extraordinary diversity of expressions. Pinot Noir dominates the reds, while Chardonnay shapes the whites, both vinified with great precision.

The domaine has embraced certified organic and biodynamic viticulture, preserving soil vitality and promoting pure terroir expression. Harvesting is done by hand, and low-intervention winemaking emphasizes authenticity and elegance. Ageing in oak barrels is carefully balanced to refine the wines without overshadowing their fruit.

The reds are admired for their aromas of fresh red berries, flowers and spices, their delicate structure and fine ageing potential. The whites display minerality, tension and finesse, offering a vibrant and faithful interpretation of Burgundy.

As a true ambassador of sustainable viticulture and ancestral savoir-faire, Clos du Moulin aux Moines embodies the harmony of history, terroir and modernity.
