Côtes de Duras: A Discreet Gem from Southwest France

Located near Bergerac, the Côtes de Duras AOC straddles the Lot-et-Garonne and Dordogne regions. Sharing terroir similarities with Bergerac, it produces lighter, fruit-forward red wines with easy charm and personality.

Clay-limestone and gravelly soils with oceanic influence

The region’s soils range from clay-limestone to sandy gravel and marl. A temperate oceanic climate ensures healthy ripening and well-balanced grapes.

Fresh, supple and fruity reds

Made mostly from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, Duras reds show aromas of red and black fruits, soft spices and sometimes herbal notes. They are smooth and balanced on the palate, with a lively finish.

Versatile wines for everyday meals

These reds are best enjoyed young — within 3 to 5 years — and pair beautifully with casual, flavorful dishes.

Food pairings

Great with grilled meats, Mediterranean vegetables, tomato-based pastas or soft cheeses. Ideal for everyday dining and relaxed occasions.
