Classified as a First Growth in 1855, Château Latour is one of Bordeaux’s and the Médoc’s absolute icons. Located in Pauillac on the left bank, it epitomizes the power, precision and longevity of the world’s greatest wines.
The vineyard spans about 92 hectares, including the historic 47-hectare Enclos surrounding the château itself. Its deep gravel soils over a clay-limestone subsoil provide natural drainage and optimal water regulation, ideal conditions for producing wines of remarkable consistency. Plantings are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot completing the blend.
Viticulture follows a sustainable, parcel-by-parcel approach, ensuring balance and full terroir expression. Manual harvesting, rigorous grape selection and precise vinifications shape wines of extraordinary intensity and purity. Ageing exclusively in French oak barrels enhances their depth and complexity.
Château Latour wines are admired for their intense bouquet of cassis, cedar and graphite, their imposing tannic structure and their extraordinary length. True monuments of Bordeaux, they have prodigious ageing potential, evolving magnificently over many decades.
A symbol of perfection and grandeur, Château Latour remains a benchmark among Pauillac’s First Growths and one of the world’s greatest wines.
