Located between Narbonne and the Mediterranean Sea, La Clape is a former limestone island turned elite vineyard. Its reds are known for structure, minerality, and Mediterranean depth.
Bathed in sun and swept by the Tramontane wind, La Clape’s vineyards enjoy cool sea breezes that slow ripening and preserve acidity — key to balanced, age-worthy reds.
The rocky, mineral-rich soils of La Clape give the wines a distinctive salty freshness and complexity. Garrigue herbs and maritime influences add further nuance.
Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan form the base of La Clape reds. Expect notes of black fruit, spices, thyme, and truffle, with refined tannins and long aging potential.
Pair with herb-crusted lamb, wild boar stew, grilled ribeye, or roasted vegetables with Mediterranean spices. A great match for rich, savory cuisine.
