Founded in 1982 by Denis and Florence Dubourdieu, Clos Floridène is an emblematic estate of the Graves appellation, quickly establishing itself as a benchmark of modernity and precision in Bordeaux. Its name, blending the founders’ first names, reflects a passionate family story.

The vineyard now covers about 40 hectares, planted on fine gravel and fractured limestone soils. Red plantings focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, while whites are crafted from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, the signature grapes of the appellation.

Clos Floridène owes much of its reputation to the visionary approach of Denis Dubourdieu, known as the “Pope of Bordeaux whites,” who introduced rigorous viticulture and remarkably precise winemaking. Parcel-based management, optimal ripeness and careful oak ageing produce wines of freshness, intensity and perfect balance.

The reds are admired for their bouquet of dark fruits, spice and cedar, their silky texture and their refined elegance. The whites stand out for their aromatic purity, notes of citrus and white flowers, mineral tension and excellent ageing potential.

A true ambassador of Bordeaux innovation, Clos Floridène embodies the harmony of tradition and modern expertise, and remains one of the essential names of the Graves.
