Collioure Red: Power and Elegance on the Côte Vermeille

The Collioure AOC, located on the steep slopes of the Côte Vermeille in southern France, between Banyuls and the Spanish border, produces expressive red wines that are both rich and fresh — shaped by the sea and the mountains.

A unique terroir between sea and mountains

Terraced vineyards face the Mediterranean, benefiting from intense sunlight, marine breezes, and complex schist soils. These extreme conditions yield concentrated, well-balanced wines.

Southern varietals at their best

Syrah, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, and Carignan thrive here, creating deep wines with aromas of dark fruits, Mediterranean herbs, licorice, and sometimes smoky or saline notes.

A bold Mediterranean identity

Collioure reds are full-bodied and structured, yet balanced with a refreshing salinity that sets them apart from other Languedoc-Roussillon wines.

Food pairings

Perfect with grilled meats, slow-cooked lamb, spicy Mediterranean dishes, or strong cheeses.
