Located in the heart of the Var region, the Coteaux Varois en Provence AOC benefits from cooler conditions thanks to elevation and the Mistral wind. Less known than its neighbors, it produces balanced and elegant reds from cooler, well-exposed terroirs.
A unique high-altitude terroir
At over 350 meters above sea level, vineyards thrive on stony, clay-limestone soils. Wide temperature swings between day and night help preserve acidity and promote slow ripening, especially for Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Characterful and well-defined red wines
Coteaux Varois reds offer aromas of black fruits, spices, garrigue and licorice. On the palate: elegant structure, mineral freshness and fine tannins.
