Based in Châtillon-d’Azergues, north of Lyon, Domaine Chasselay is a family-run estate that has been cultivating vines for more than 600 years. This remarkable continuity reflects a deep connection to Beaujolais terroirs and a tradition of winemaking passed down through generations. Today, Claire and Fabien Chasselay represent the new generation, blending heritage with environmentally respectful practices.

The vineyard covers about 20 hectares across several appellations, including Brouilly, Morgon and Côte de Brouilly. Gamay is the star grape here, thriving on granite and clay-limestone soils that give the wines freshness, fruitiness and depth. For many years, the domaine has been certified organic, committed to biodiversity and the vitality of the soils.

In the cellar, winemaking is natural and minimally interventionist, aiming to preserve fruit purity and the character of each parcel. The wines of Domaine Chasselay are marked by their generosity, finesse and authenticity. They embody a modern vision of Beaujolais, moving beyond clichés and offering both immediate pleasure and ageing potential.

Praised by critics and wine lovers alike, Chasselay wines express the authenticity and elegance of artisanal, living Beaujolais.
