Based in Ampuis, the historic cradle of Côte-Rôtie, Domaine Marie et Pierre Bénetière is one of the Rhône Valley’s most discreet yet sought-after estates. Pierre Bénetière, a true artisan vigneron, built his reputation patiently through meticulous work in both vineyard and cellar, producing wines of rare depth and sincerity.

The vineyard covers just a few hectares, mainly on Côte-Rôtie’s steep granite slopes. Syrah dominates, sometimes complemented by a touch of Viognier, yielding wines of remarkable intensity and subtle balance.

The domaine’s philosophy centers on rigorous, environmentally respectful viticulture. Very low yields ensure optimal concentration. In the cellar, winemaking remains traditional, with whole-cluster fermentations, gentle extractions and long barrel ageing, always with restrained use of new oak.

Marie and Pierre Bénetière’s wines stand out for their freshness, tension and aromatic complexity. Cuvées such as the renowned “Cordeloux” embody the nobility of Syrah and the unique character of Ampuis’s hillside vineyards.

Rare and highly coveted by collectors, these wines represent the purity and authenticity of Côte-Rôtie’s greatest terroirs.
