Marcillac: Vibrant and Authentic Reds from Aveyron

Located in the rolling hills of Aveyron, near Rodez, the Marcillac AOC produces unique red wines made exclusively from Fer Servadou — known locally as Mansois. These wines are lively, rustic and full of personality.

Distinctive red soils and balanced climate

The vineyards grow on iron-rich “rougier” soils that give the wines their name and color. The continental climate, moderated by Atlantic influences, allows slow ripening and vibrant aromas.

Fresh, fruity and slightly wild

Marcillac reds offer raspberry, redcurrant and white pepper notes, with hints of leather or garrigue. On the palate, they are crisp, tangy and lightly tannic — full of energy and charm.

A true wine of place

Marcillac is crafted with minimal intervention and little to no oak, emphasizing purity and drinkability. Ideal for those seeking honest, characterful wines with a rustic edge.

Food pairings

Excellent with Southwest cuisine: aligot, charcuterie, duck breast, pâté or hearty country fare. Best served slightly chilled (15°C).
