2020 Magnum "Les Acacias" Mas del Périé Fabien Jouves
Located in Trepoux-Rassiel, at the heart of the Cahors appellation, Domaine Fabien Jouves is a family estate that has become one of the most distinctive and modern faces of Southwest France. Passionate and committed, Fabien Jouves, from a long line of farmers, took over the domaine in 2006 with the ambition to showcase the full nobility of Malbec, Cahors’s emblematic grape variety.
The vineyard spans about 20 hectares, planted mainly with Malbec alongside traditional varieties such as Tannat, Merlot and Jurançon Noir. Clay-limestone soils and sun-drenched slopes provide ideal conditions for producing wines that are intense, elegant and deeply rooted in their terroir.
Viticulture is biodynamic, with strong respect for biodiversity and natural cycles. In the cellar, winemaking is natural and non-interventionist, with ageing carried out in tanks, barrels or amphorae, depending on each cuvée’s character.
Fabien Jouves wines are admired for their freshness, aromatic intensity and authenticity. Cahors cuvées show power, depth and ageing potential, while his lighter wines and single-vineyard bottlings reveal a freer, more creative approach.
Celebrated both in France and abroad, Fabien Jouves’s wines embody the perfect balance between tradition and modernity, authenticity and boldness, redefining the image of Cahors
