Description
"Le Clos" is the most iconic cuvée from Clos Rougeard, the legendary Loire estate formerly run by the Foucault family. Sourced from a single, walled vineyard on tuffeau (chalky limestone), this wine represents the pinnacle of Cabernet Franc elegance, depth, and longevity. The 2010 vintage is classically structured, with silky texture, superb concentration, and remarkable aromatic purity.

Blend
100% Cabernet Franc, hand-harvested, aged 18–24 months in barrel, partially new oak.

Tasting notes
• Appearance: Deep garnet red, brilliant and dense.
• Nose: Blackcurrant, blackberry, blond tobacco, violet, pencil lead, noble leather.
• Palate: Silky and concentrated yet weightless, with ultra-refined tannins, mineral-driven tension, and an endless, complex finish.

Aging potential
Best from 2025 through 2040+. Already excellent after long decanting.
