Located at the northern end of the Côte Chalonnaise, Rully is known for its predominantly white wines made from Chardonnay, as well as a smaller production of Pinot Noir reds. The appellation includes several high-quality Premier Cru sites.
Rully whites are appreciated for their freshness, silky texture, and aromas of citrus, white flowers, honey, and almond. They also show a fine minerality and good aging potential.
Rully reds are less common but charming, with red fruit, spice, and undergrowth notes. They offer soft tannins and good drinkability — perfect for casual elegance.
Well-exposed slopes and clay-limestone soils yield expressive, consistent wines. Rully is a great example of the rising quality found in the Côte Chalonnaise.
Whites: Ideal with seafood, creamy fish dishes, or chicken with sauce.
Reds: Great with charcuterie, rabbit terrine, or roasted white meats.
