Clay-limestone and gravelly soils, combined with good sun exposure and drainage, provide ideal conditions. Merlot dominates the blends, offering roundness and fruitiness, often enhanced by Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sainte-Foy Bordeaux reds show notes of cherry, blackberry, violet and gentle spices. The palate is smooth, fruity and fresh, with a light and pleasant finish.
