Clos des Centenaires – Biodynamic Wines from Costières de Nîmes

Located in Aimargues, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Cévennes mountains, Clos des Centenaires is a modern, ambitious estate that has quickly established itself as a rising star of the Languedoc. Founded by Philippe and Nadia Gard, it brilliantly showcases the region’s identity through characterful, precise wines.

The vineyard spans about 15 hectares, planted on soils of rolled pebbles, sand and clay that store heat and promote optimal ripening. Some century-old parcels of Grenache and Carignan give the estate both its name and its unique character. Syrah completes the plantings, adding structure and complexity.

Viticulture follows environmentally respectful practices, with meticulous parcel management and controlled yields. Winemaking focuses on authenticity and purity of expression, with gentle fermentations and ageing in vats or oak barrels depending on the cuvée’s style.

Clos des Centenaires reds are admired for their aromatic intensity of dark fruits, spices and garrigue, their generous, velvety palate and their balance of power and freshness. The whites and rosés, produced in smaller quantities, reveal freshness and Mediterranean elegance.
