Description
"La Germine" represents the natural elegance of southern Côte-Rôtie. Sourced from old vines on the schist terraces of the Tupin and Semons lieux-dits, this cuvée highlights finesse and gentle oak aging. The 2020 vintage, warm yet balanced, brings aromatic richness and silky texture, without losing the signature minerality of the Duclaux style.

Blend
Approx. 95% Syrah, 5% Viognier – hand-harvested, fully destemmed, aged 18 months in oak barrels (20% new).

Tasting notes
• Appearance: Deep garnet with violet hues.
• Nose: Ripe black fruits, violet, black olive, soft spice, smoky hint.
• Palate: Generous and velvety, soft tannins, fresh and lifted, long finish with dark fruit and aromatic herbs.

Aging potential
Best from 2024, cellar through 2035.
